Wildlife Drop-off and Visiting Hours

Public Visitation :

We greatly regret the fact that we cannot receive unannounced visitors. The temporary nature of our present facility will not allow us to safeguard our animals, or protect our visitors from possible harm.

We can occasionally accept visitors and visiting groups by appointment only. Our staff will give guided tours of this facility and our animals periodically, subject to calendar availability. To arrange such a tour, call the office and speak with Vicky or Tim.

Wildlife patients:

We are also unable to accept patients outside of business hours. Our gate is open, and sick, injured or orphaned wild patients may be brought here, 7 days a week from approximately 8:30 AM until 5:30 PM.

Please keep patients warm, dark and quiet overnight. A cardboard box is excellent for most animals. Also, while you may offer (do NOT force) water, please do not feed the animal. Improper diets are more dangerous than lack of food. Bring the animal to us at your first opportunity during business hours. Click here to download complete instructions in PDF format.

Both of these are temporary situations. Phase One construction of the new Wildlife Center will include at least some limited wildlife displays. Additional displays, including animals in their native habitats, will be a unique feature of the new Wildlife Center. These will be opened to the public as soon as they are made ready.
